At “NutritionData.com”:http://www.nutritiondata.com/ , you can enter any recipe or food and get an exact breakdown of what’s in it. I’ve been mostly vegetarian for about three years now and I’ve been off and on worried about whether I’m getting the right nutrients to be healthy. Now I can find out exactly what I’m eating down to which amino acids I’m getting from what foods. As an example of the level of detail this site goes into, here are some graphs that came up after I searched for white mushrooms. It turns out mom was right, they are good for you. Faced with very little fear of punishment on the part of its enemies, conglomerated music is doing what it does best, complaining. Filing more than 150,000 complaints to universities this year alone, it’s not a surprise that some of their complaints have fallen on deaf ears. The biggest culprits in ignoring the RIAA’s rants are the universities: Ohio, Purdue, Nebraska-Lincoln, U of Tennessee and the University of South Carolina. Good job pirate schools! Check out this brilliant video about net neutrality from the directors of ‘Four Eyed Monsters.’ Their website is a bit confusing so I couldn’t figure out exactly who ‘they’ are except that their names are Arin and Susan and they host one of the best videos I’ve seen on the subject of net neutrality and the future of the internet. Please see this clip (it’s a little over 10 minutes long) and show it to others. This is a very important issue and it’s critical that we educate ourselves about what’s going on. Let’s exercise some democracy!! This is both exciting and puzzling. It’s exciting because I love the idea of the post-national communal space online that Second Life is meant to be, but I can’t help but be puzzled at its continued success as the interface is so blocky and well, ugly. Gametap gives you unlimited access to a huge amount (yesterday it was 837) of old arcade, console, and computer games, all for a reasonable subscription fee of $6.95/month. Some of the better known titles on the menu are Street Fighter 2, Tony Hawk, and Sonic the Hedgehog as well as lesser-known but still great titles like Final Fight and brand new games like Sam and Max. It”s video gaming à la carte. Useless account is a website where the point is that there is no point. Open a useless account today and enjoy creating, managing, and logging in to your account. "Pirate schools" given healthy tongue-lashings
I saw this article via “the Inquirer”:http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37780 and then read the full article in the Indianapolis Star. The interesting thing is that I then read the discussion forum on the Star’s website and noticed that almost without exception the commenters were pro-piracy. If readers in Indiana can be anti-establishment, what hope do the powers-that-be really have?

Sweden to open a Second Life embassy
When I first about Second Life (probably through boingboing.net) I was one of the hundreds of thousands of people who went out and downloaded the software, installed it, and then made my first and only trip into Linden world. Snow Crash is one of my all-time favorite books, so the idea of a nascent metaverse really appealed to me but when I got there it seemed stunted, awkward, and slow. And that was on a T3 line!
I’d imagine that I would really like Second Life in a few years but for now I just can’t get into it, even though it may help me get into Sweden.
An article about the move can be found “here”:http://www.thelocal.se/6219/
Does Second Life make you all tingly inside? Maybe you should try getting a “first life”:http://www.getafirstlife.com/.
Netflix for gamers, but it's all online
Just another useless internet account
